NOLA— City council has been battling over the question of if a restaurant can serve booze to a customer who isn't ordering food, to which the council seems to agree that yes, they can. [NOLA.com]

MID CITY— Helen Freund reports that Rah/Bah pops up inside Milkfish on August 26 with a six course prix fixe "inspired by the Portuguese-American community of southern Massachusetts" where chef Will Salisbury—opening chef at Wood—grew up.  Scallops, lobster rolls, charred octopus and more seafood highlights. $80 person.
