Jeff Baron Debuts College Hotspots The Boot Pizza & Grill And Cantina Comida This Week

Newly rebooted The Boot Pizza & Grill and Cantina Comida at The Palms both open Friday, August 21.

Former Pizzicare and Crescent Pie & Sausage Co. pizza baron Jeff Baron brings new bar food to two of Uptown's late-night college hangs tomorrow, August 21, Todd Price reports. The newly rebooted The Boot Pizza & Grill—formerly known as The Boot and home to attached pizza kitchen The Dough Bowl, which Baron actually opened back in 2002—debuts with a menu of New York style pizza, burgers on brioche, and hand cut fries.  Delivery will also be available in a 'few week.' Boot Pizza and Grill hours— Tues-Thurs: 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Fri-Sat: 11 a.m. to 4 a.m.  Sun-Mon: 11 a.m. to midnight.

Also, Cantina Comida launches inside The Palms (7130 Freret) with "open-faced burritos, tacos, arepas and empanadas." Both spots will be open into the wee hours of the night. Cantina Comida hours— Tues-Sat:  6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sun: noon to 9 p.m.
