FAIR GROUNDS— 20+ Food trucks and vendors will roll up on the Fair Grounds'annual Street Fare Derby this Saturday and Sunday, August 15 and 16, including newcomers District Donuts. Sliders. Brew and Burgers Ya Heard. Plus, live music and racing.  Entry is $10 in advance/$15 at the door. [NOLA.com]

ST. CLAUDE AVE— Helen Freund reports that Hi-Ho Lounge (2239 St. Claude) is now home to a new Wednesday night pop up, Fry and Pie, from Nick Gile (chef at Richard Fiske's Martini Bar). NOLA— Todd Price reports that NOWFE will give its Ella Brennan Lifetime Achievement in Hospitality Award to tourist-attraction guru Ron Forman, who has worked for the Audubon Nature Institute for 40+ years and also as Chairman of the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District, helped lead the major renovation of the Superdome and the Smoothie King Center.
