The Northshore's hot modern Southern restaurant Ox Lot 9 is expanding with Smoke BBQ come August 1, Todd Price reports. Chef/owner Jeffrey Hansell and crew will take over the former Thai Kitchen space at 11105 N. Collins Road (at Lee) in Covington.
Ox Lot sous Nate Meharg will debut his pitmaster skills with a "variety of barbecue styles" including Texas brisket at St. Louis Ribs. Ox Lot pastry chef Breanne Kostyk will do pies, floats and malts for dessert. Sounds like a trip across the lake is in order. Until then, check out the website and Facebook page.
