Beloved boil, tamale, hot plate and po' boy spot Bevi Seafood Co. will expand to Mid City this fall, Todd Price reports, with a second location in the Cajun Brothers Seafood (formerly KJeans) spot. Owner Justin LeBlanc—a former Southern Yacht Club chef who has been impressing critics and crawfish lovers alike with his tiny operation on Airline since 2013— purchased both the building and business at 236 N. Carrollton (at Bienville).
Plans call for an expanded menu, a retail seafood market, more seating including picnic tables outside, a potential oyster bar and perhaps even booze. Expect a late September or early October opening.
