RIP Tony Angello; Brett Anderson Loves LA 23 BBQ

Plus, Old Absinthe House is a TOTC hub and more.

After finally giving the place a try, I realize that it should have been." Arrive early on a weekday (like 11 a.m.) and prepare for epic ribs, brisket and "exemplary" mac and cheese. []

LAKEVIEW— Sad news today: "Mr. Tony" Angello, owner of the 40+ year-old eponymous Creole Italian eatery Tony Angello's known for its epic family-style feast, the 'Feed Me' as well as the classic Eggplant Tina, has passed away at the age of 88. [WWLTV]
