Commander's Palace Elevates Beer & Barbecue All July

Plus, specialty dinners abound, and Southern Sportsman Fest returns to Westwego.

GARDEN DISTRICT— Commander's Palace debuts its White Table Cloth BBQ today, July 1. Tory McPhail's five-course tasting menu of elevated barbecue fare and craft beer pairings will run throughout July featuring the likes of smoked redfish and caviar, smokehouse spare ribs, and more. $65/person (+$20 for beer pairings). WESTWEGO— The  2nd annual Southern Sportsman's Festival & Expo returns to the Arlario Center July 10-12 with three days of seminars and demos from outdoor experts, and a new two-day charity tailgate cook-off (open to anyone) benefitting local nonprofit Café Hope. $30 gets you entry to the festival and access to the judge's area for the cook-off.
