Irish Channel craft beer pioneers NOLA Brewing will finally debut their highly-anticipated two-level taproom on Friday, June 12, Todd Price reports this week. The new digs are actually adjacent to the brewery itself and are what NOLA Brewing founder and prez Kirk Coco liken to the Galatoire's of taprooms. Here's what to expect:
- First floor bar with 24 beers on tap (including seasonals and sours), dark wood accents, large windows, and televisions that show only the beer menu or Saints games, and McClure's Barbecue walk-up window for lunch and dinner.
- Rooftop bar with a 'tropical feel,' 6 specialty brews on tap, televisions for Saints game, and views of the river.
- Brunch service and sparkling mead-on-tap to come
A FREE opening party goes down on June 12 with two stages of live music. After that, the taproom will be open Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday-Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight.
