Maple St. Patisserie et Bistro Closes; Margaritaville Will Shutter June 30

A lunch spot shutters in Gert Town. Jimmy Buffet's chain eatery and music venue set to close in Quarter, but is eyeing another location.

GERT TOWN— Maple St. Patisserie et Bistroan expansion of Maple Street Bakery, has closed on Earhart after a year in, Todd Price reports.  The space will be taken over by new restaurant concept Crescent City Barbecue. [NOLA.com]

QUARTER— Those looking to get wasted-away again will have to look to a different boozery than Decatur Street's Margaritaville. Yes, Jimmy's Buffet's chain eatery and music venue will officially close its doors on June 30 after a 25+ year go of it,  and new live music and barbecue destination B.B. King's Blues Club will move into the space come fall. [NoDef]

UPDATE: Margaritaville is reportedly planning to relocate to a spot on Decatur near Canal Street. [CityBiz]
