A lawsuit filed by over 50 bars and Harrah's Casino in an effort to stop the brand new city-wide smoking ban has been shut down by Orleans Civil District Judge Robin Giarrusso, Richard Rainey reports. Yesterday, June 3, the court found no evidence to support the lawsuit's "arguments that the law was too vague to implement and that the council hadn't followed the proper regulations when they unanimously approved it in January."
Strangely enough, the biggest name backing the lawsuit Harrah's Casino actually "pulled out last month for unknown reasons."
