Just when you've finished mourning the loss of bubbling hot spinach dip and hickory burgers at beloved, 34-year-old location of Houston's on Vets, Todd Price now reports that Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts is buying the space.
Owners of Creole Cuisine, the brothers Ammari, have entered a purchase agreement for the location (4241 Vets) and will close the deal this week. Zeid Ammari tells The Times-Pic he and his bros have 'personal ties' to the spot, but no word on if they'll bring a new concept to the location or lease the property to someone else. The company also owns Quarter destinations Broussard's, Kingfish, and Cafe Maspero, manages Bombay Club, and holds various real estate investments in New Orleans along with daiquiri shops.
