WESTBANK— Manhattan Blvd. restaurant My Thai Cuisine is temporarily shuttered while rebooting into a more casual concept focused solely on inexpensive Thai noodle soups and counter service, opening in July. [Gambit]

NOLA— Slow Food's annual international gathering Slow Fish, which encourages the use of neglected species as well as small scale fisheries, will land in New Orleans for the first time in March 2016. To celebrate, look for bycatch happy hour Fish Tails & Cocktails at Carmo on July 13 at 6 p.m. featuring guest chefs Alex Harrell and Michael Doyle too. [Advocate]
