Galvez, the six year old Spanish restaurant and wedding venue in the French Quarter will be closing on Father's Day, with hopes of reopening sometime in the future in a new location. The restaurant posted the following statement to its Facebook page:
After six great years, Galvez Restaurant will be closing this week. Our last meal will be served on Father's Day, June 21st. We've had a great run! Chef Laura hasn't made any plans just yet for the relocation, so join us for a last night of wine, amazing Spanish food, and the Chef's famous sangria. We'll be taking reservations through Sunday.
A call to the restaurant verifies that the restaurant is indeed closing at its current location, but that no solid plans have been made for moving to a new spot at this time.
