The intrepid Todd Price reported that yesterday (June 11) was the last day of cocktail mixmaster Hadi Ktiri's last day at Jeff "Beachbum" Berry's tiki palace, Latitude 29. Ktiri is heading back to Arnaud's French 75 to work with another of the city's bar legends, Chris Hannah.
Ktiri worked at Arnaud's French 75 with Hannah for four years before leaving to help Berry and co-GM Steve Yamada open Latitude 29. He told Price that "Any bartender in America would have jumped at the opportunity to work with Jeff." But apparently the classic vibe of the French 75 bar is more to his style than the Hawaiian shirts of the area's growing tiki trend.
