More on salumiere extraordinaire Kris Doll's upcoming St. Claude butcher facility Shank Charcuterie at 2352 St. Claude Avenue this week, via Gambit's Helen Freund. While the main function of the butcher shop is to source the goods for the newly-opened (and identically named) Shank Charcuterie stall inside St. Roch Market, Ian McNulty recently hinted that Doll might also expand the offerings to showcase more of his mad skills. Freund verifies that news this week, noting that Doll will also offer lunch at the location as well:
The counter inside the new shop can seat approximately 20 people, and the lunch menu will include a selection of tapas-style dishes, steak frites and some salads.
On top of that, expect a wide selection of meats, both raw and cured, for all your take-home needs. The Shank Charcuterie stall in St. Roch Market will also remain open. Expect a June opening.
