Bar Tonique's Late Night Happy Hour; Cafe du Monde Expands

QUARTER— Tonight, May 27, at 11:59 p.m., Bar Tonique hosts a brand new bi-weekly 11:59 happy hour night with service industry discounts, along with $3 and $5 cocktails featuring St. George spirits.  Upcoming 11:59 happy hours include Treaty Oaks (June 10), 86 Co., Donner Peltier and Atelier Vie. QUARTER— Katherine Sayre reports that beignet institution Cafe du Monde is planning to buy neighboring Evan's Creole Candy Factory and expand its French Market location. It will also take over production of the Evan's brand confections. [NOLA.com]

LGD & QUARTER— Helen Freund reports that Emeril's Delmonico is launching a summer happy hour on June 1 with $5 bar snacks, fifty-cent charbroiled oysters, free candied bacon, and various drink specials.
