Asian & Latin American Gastropub Rebellion Launches Dinner Friday in CBD

The bar program, with cocktail menu designed by T. Cole Newton, will likely debut as well.

Newly-opened Asian and Latin American fusion restaurant Rebellion will roll out dinner service (and likely booze) tomorrow, May 22,  Todd Price reports, after warming up with a couple weeks of lunch. Owners Seung Hong and Michael Tran have enlisted Commander's Palace alum David Dickensauge with creating/turning out the fusion menu in the former Phil's Grill (and legendary Casimo Matassa recording studio) space. Look for Dickensauge at NOWFE's grand tasting on Saturday, as he competes for King of Louisiana Seafood title.

Very exciting on the booze side: 12 Mile Limit's T. Cole Newton has created the drinks list, and there will also be craft beer including a local selection, and Japanese whiskey.

Price reports that Rebellion's dinner hours will be this Friday and Saturday only from 4-10 p.m. and after next Friday, dinner will be served nightly. Current lunch hours: Mon-Sat, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
