NOLA—New Orleans locations of Wendy's are offering a FREE small frosty to customers on Memorial Day, May 25. [Eaterwire]

CENTRAL CITY— It happens to be the 10th Anniversary of iconic neighborhood eatery Uglesich's shutter, and Brett Anderson laments the loss of one of New Orleans' greatest restaurants ever with a four bean review pulled from the archives. [NOLA.com]

METAIRIE— In a town that hardly takes kindly to chains, Anderson also notes how Houston's is an exception to the rule, and that seeing the Metairie location shutter is sad for many folks in the greater New Orleans area, including Company Burger's Adam Biderman, Gautreau's owner Patrick Singley, and writer Julia Reed. MID CITY— Speaking of chains, it's very possible that a restaurant could move into the upcoming CVS-anchored development (former Home Depot) on the Lafitte Greenway near Rouses/Mid City Market, and the Mid City Neighborhood Association are adamently pushing for a 'local' establishment as opposed to a Starbucks or yet another national chain. QUARTER— Chef Alex Harrell has just launched an all new summer menu at Southern stunner Angeline. [Eaterwire]
