Baton Rouge's Chicken Shack is headed this way, and it only took them 80 years. The fried chicken institution plans to expand with its first New Orleans location in 2016, Todd Price reports.

It'll be the fourth location for Chicken Shack, which also operates a food truck aptly called Chicken Shack Express. In addition to "knuckle suckin' good" batter-fried chicken, the family-owned mini-chain also serves red beans and rice, boudin balls, fluffy dinner rolls, mustard greens, sweet potato pie, and other down-home dishes.
