Hickory burger lovers, look out: Los Angeles-based upscale chain Houston's is shuttering its Metairie location this Sunday after 34 years in business. "According to the corporate office, the Metairie location needed a 'strategic overhaul' and they wanted to focus on the 'flagship' St. Charles Avenue location," reports NOLA.com.
Per Houston's Facebook page, at least some of the staff will be relocated to the St. Charles outpost:
We will be closing our doors after service on Sunday, May 17th. Thank you to all of our guests and staff for 34 years...

Houston's has dozens of locations across the country in locations such as Dallas, Phoenix, and Atlanta, including ten or so that were rebranded as "Hillstone" a few years back.
