Jazz Fest isn't the only thing happening this weekend. Here are three party places to take in the Kentucky Derby with a julep in hand this Saturday.

MARIGNY— Three Muses bar muse Kimberly Patton Bragg has created a Ponchatoula julep with Maker's 46, Fraises Des Bois liqueur, mint and fresh strawberries special for the derby and available now through Saturday.

QUARTER— Or head to Bourbon street...Galatoire's 33 is hosting an all day Derby party on May 2 from noon to 10 p.m. with $9 juleps and other derby cocktails at the bar, plus a specialty menu including tea sandwiches and even grilled mutton. [Eaterwire]

ST. ROCH— Cocktail & Son's head honcho/bartender Max Messier hosts a Derby Day party at The Mayhaw inside St. Roch Market on May 2 from noon to 2 p.m. Guests can make their own julep with local products including mint from St. Roch Forage and learn the drink's history.
