The month of May isn't here yet, but it's already shaping up to be a nonstop eating frenzy.  Here are three great dining pop ups planning to throw down in New Orleans in the next month.  Start making plans now, as these events are certain to sell out quickly.

Diner en Blanc

On May 9, the flash mob picnic that requires everyone to wear white and bring their own food, tables, chairs and cutlery, is returning to New Orleans, the NEW GAMBIT FOOD EDITOR (round of applause, everyone) Helen Freund reports. The location is hush hush. The admission fee is $45 and it includes transportation to the event from pick-up points around town and live entertainment. Registration ends on May 4 on website or at (504) 304-8198. [Gambit]

Mosquito Supper Club

The extremely-hot Cajun pop up from Effie Michot and Melissa Martin (also of St. Roch's Curious Oyster Co.) will host two events this May, a zydeco dance on May 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Redhaus (2820 St. Claude Ave.) in the Bywater. $10 gets you in, but food is separate.  And a brunch on May 17 at the Zeitgeist (1618 OCH) in Central City. $10 suggested donation, BYOB,  live music and brunch fare for purchase including shrimp and grits, gumbo, boudin and more.
