Mayor Mitch Landrieu cuts the ribbon on New Orleans hotly anticipated food hall St. Roch Market today at 10 a.m., which means... St. Roch Market is now officially open at 2381 St. Claude Avenue. The masterminds behind the long-awaited, rejuvenated space Will Donaldson and Barre Tanguis have filled the market with thirteen incredible vendors, a calendar of community events, and even an apprentice program for neighborhood residents. There's an oyster bar, a cocktail bar, a produce section, a wine selection, a bakery, butcher, seafood stall, coffee roaster, and dining/take-out options range from African food to Juice with Creole, Korean, small plates and crepes in between. After a few days of soft opening, Todd Prices offers his vision of must-order items. Parking is available in the adjacent Whitney bank lot.
