Opening Alert: Sac-A-Lait Opens in The Warehouse District

Ah, Spring is in the air, with its hint of smothering humidity and the fresh scent of hotly-anticipated restaurant openings.  Yes, the man who scoops so many ground balls he should be playing lacrosse Todd Price reports that Sac-A-Lait, the new Warehouse District restaurant from renowned Hot Tails chef and literal king of Louisiana seafood Cody Carroll (from New Roads, LA) is now open in the former Sun Ray Grill space.  Here's what to expect menu-wise:

Turtle boudin, a shrimp boil with roasted garlic butter, flounder with eggplant and oyster stuffing and "drunk" pheasant with rosemary and Canebrake gravy.

Sac-a-Lait reportedly also features an oyster bar with East and West Coast options. The restaurnat now open for dinner Tues-Thurs, 5 to 10 p.m. and Fri-Sat, 5 to 11 p.m. Brunch is also rolling out on Sundays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
