Hot on the heels of The Big Cheezy's opening, Mid City whisperer Ian McNulty reports that upcoming grilled cheese spot Melt will land by fall 2015. Melt is the brainchild of Barcadia managers Miles Tully and Casey Biehl and on track to open at 2549 Banks Street, a building owned by Advocate publisher/Galatoire's owner John Georges.  The 'fast casual' restaurant will have counter service, a menu of specialty grilled cheese sandwiches and more, plus a bar and an industrial feel.

Also still in the works at 611 S. White Street (near the courthouse) is Side Bara whiskey and craft cocktail hub from Keith Magruder, which is on tap to open this summer with a 'judge's chambers look' and no plans for grilled cheese. Though Magruder is considering a charc/cheese program.
