Patrick Singley Is OUT At Marti's

He was "not an owner," but certainly the driving force behind Marti's resurrection.

Shake up on Rampart Street his week, with Todd Price reporting that Patrick Singley has parted ways with Marti's, the stroried French Quarter brasserie he helped resurrect in 2013.  Singley was apparently only a "consultant at Marti's and not an owner,"  though he had previously been credited as a partner and the driving force behind the venture. From Times-Pic critic Brett Anderson's 2013 coverage:

It took him several years to finally convince the property's owner, Joe Jaeger, to partner in opening what Singley calls a "brasserie."

Now Joe Jaeger will continue to run the restaurant alone, though a few Gautreau's alum remain in the FOH and chef Calvin Davis, who was also a Singley-hire, still heads the kitchen.

Singley also recently closed chef Sue Zemanick's upscale cocktail and small plates lounge Ivy to the public, making it a private event space. Marti's previously went through a shake up in Fall of last year, when opening chef Drew Lockett left the restaurant shortly after receiving a three bean review from Brett Anderson.
