Nina Compton,Miami-based chef and runner up of Bravo's Top Chef Season 11, has just announced that she's leaving Miami and moving to New Orleans. Compton promises "exciting news to follow," so do stay tuned in the next few days to find out what the chef—a native of St. Lucia who could very well bring some Caribbean flare to town— has in store.
Season 11 of Top Chef, which also featured Galatoire's Michael Sichel and La Petite Grocery's Justin Devillier,was filmed in New Orleans, so Compton is no stranger to the city. Back in July, she left her post at South Beach's Scarpetta to travel and figure out her next step, which appears to be moving to "the bayou." She has already tweeted her prerequisite #whodat.
