Sourdough Pros Wakin' Bakin' Bring Sandwiches, Dinner To The Holy Ground

The Mother Mary's pop up features pub grub and sandwiches on their signature housemade bread.

Mother Mary's/Facebook

Mid City's super secret sourdough operation that fronts as a breakfast/brunch hotspot Wakin' Bakin' is popping up at night in their former stomping ground The Holy Ground Irish Pub (3340 Canal St.) with Mother Mary's, slingers of fine pub food and sandwiches, according to Sarah Baird.  Wakin' Bakin' founders Zak Pizzeck and Conrad Chura actually got their start at the Mid City pub before moving into the former-Huevos spot on Banks Street and dominating the a.m. dining game since 2013. It's a well known fact that their sourdough is awesome, so do expect some killer BLT and grilled cheese action at Mother Mary's. Per Baird:

The menu ranges from shepherd's pie-stuffed bell peppers to Scotch eggs, red bean hummus and fish and chips. Most menu items hover around the $7 mark.
