Bamboula's Still Hoping for Nightclub Switcheroo; Balise Delights

MARIGNY: The CPC was unable to reach an agreement over Bamboula's request to operate as a nightclub instead of a restaurant on Frenchmen, so the matter is heading to City Hall without a recommendation.  Many opponents and neighbors say the place has already been illegally operating as a nightclub since day one. []

MARIGNY Sarah Baird reports that NOCCA unveils their new Press Street Station restaurant, run by students and professional chefs at Press and Royal, on Saturday, February 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m: "Menu items range from coconut pancakes and boudin-stuffed mirliton, to pork belly banh mi and roasted vegetable turnovers."
