R'evolution chef de cuisine Chris Lusk will be the chef at Besh Group's hotly-anticipated resurrection of the Caribbean Room in the historic Pontchartrain Hotel, Todd Price reports this week.  The Caribbean Room was once known as the place to be with celebrity clientele including Frank Sinatra and signature dishes including Mile High Pie and crabmeat Remick,  but it closed for good in the 1990s after going downhill. Besh, Lusk and team will no doubt return the restaurant to its prior swanky status when it debuts in mid-2016. Lusk will also oversee the Silver Whistle Cafe, Bayou Bar and a rooftop lounge as well.

Pontchartrain Hotel was purchased by investment group AJ Capital in 2014 for a cool $19.8 million and is currently undergoing a major $10 million overhaul, so do expect this Garden District beauty to be the biggest comeback of the year.
