QUARTER— Richard Webster reports that Brennan's is reportedly leading a push to have the NOPD shut down Royal Street's pedestrian mall and open up car traffic during the day, citing potential terrorism as the reason, though others aren't so convinced. The "request reignites an almost 40-year-old debate over access to Royal Street and whether pedestrian-only hours hurt or help the Vieux Carré." [NOLA.com]
