With such a variety of boudin preparations from 50 chefs from both near and far, as well as kick ass bourbon cocktails provided by local mixologists and one-of-a-kind kegs of beer created just for the occasion by Abita, it's never too early to plan one's attack for this fundraiser for the Emeril Lagasse Foundation.
Now in its fifth year, Boudin, Bourbon & Beer harnesses the collective talents of such New Orleans culinary luminaries like John Besh, Adolfo Garcia, Frank Brigtsen, Alon Shaya, Susan Spicer, and Tory McPhail. New this year on the roster are: Monroe, LA wunderkind Cory Bahr, Ryan Hughes from Purloo, and Joaquin Rodas from Bacchanal. Chefs Bart Bell, Aaron Burgau, Nathanial Zimet, and Daniel Esses will be bringing back their Stand Up And Snout collaboration as well.
These are just a handful of amazing chefs who are participating, definitely go to the website and check them all out.
Of course, Abita will be back with special casks of Equinox fresh-hopped Wrought Iron IPA, Spruce Christmas, and Barrel Aged Pecan, and Buffalo Trace cocktail stands will dot the entire festival area. Check out the signature cocktail, Buffalo Trace Bourbon Smash, created by Emeril's New Orleans bar manager, Miki Nikolic.
