NOLA— The holidays are almost here, so all attention is turning to the city's various festive Reveillon menus. [NOLA.com]

MID CITY— The drive-thru CC's Coffee House planned for 2323 Canal Street across from the new hospital has been approved by the city. Construction will start after the holidays.  [MidCityMessenger]

QUARTER— Speaking of coffee, PJ's Coffee has a new location at 501 Decatur Street, and it will be open on Thanksgiving from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Regular hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and there's free wifi. [Eaterwire]

IRISH CHANNEL— NOLA Brewing (3301 Tchoup) hosts a happy hour to benefit The Roots of Music on Tuesday, December 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Roots of Music Marching Crusaders and Rebirth Brass Band will perform and pints of Rebirth Pale Ale—a brew that supports music education for local kids— will be $1 off.  Kirk Coco will present The Roots of Music with a check for a mighty $75,000 that's been raised since the beer's launch this year.  Admission is free.  [Eaterwire]
