Opening Alert: Boulevard American Bistro Lands on Vets in Metairie

The newest spot from the Ammari bros opens today.

Boulevard American Bistro, a new concept from the Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts empire, opens today in Metairie, Todd Price reports.  The restaurant takes over the former Houston's location and actually seems vaguely similar to the sadly-shuttered spot with much of the same staff returning, including former Houston's GM Robert Hardie, and a menu that includes spinach & artichoke dip, a prime rib sandwich, seared scallops and more American fare.

As for renovations, the "rooms are lighter, the ceilings are higher and all the booths are now red leather." Hours: Sun-Thurs,  11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fri-Sat, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.  Closed on Thanksgiving.
