The traces of Crescent Pie & Sausage past are all gone from 4400 Banks Street, as the Mid City Pizza crew has brought their colorful signature artwork and menu to the digs, Sarah Baird reports: "The new space features some enticing additions, including a full bar, daiquiris and old school arcade games NBA Jam and Simpsons Arcade." Hours: Daily, 4:30 p.m. to midnight. Lunch begins next week.
Over on O.C. Haley, it's happening...the Southern Food And Beverage Museum (1504 OCH) is finally about to get its very own beauteous restaurant Purloo. Chef Ryan Hughes has already been rolling out the locally-sourced, regional Southern cuisine during the ritzy soft-opening this week. Tomorrow, rumor has it that the doors open officially. Hughes' menu includes dishes from curried goat to Delta style tamales to a Lowcountry seafood boil, which he's tested via years of the popular pop-up version of Purloo.
