Mid City Gets A New Southern Hot Spot With Brown Butter, Opening Mid-January

The Salty Swine founders Dayne Womax and Simon Beck will open Brown Butter in mid-January.

Mid City is getting in on the 2015 restaurant game with a new casual-upscale Southern spot, Brown Butter, taking over the former Wow Wingery space (231 N Carrollton at Bienville) from The Salty Swine supper club founders Dayne Womax and Simon Beck. The restaurant is quietly inching toward a mid-January opening with a menu turning out specialties from the Bible Belt to Low Country with promises of chicken and waffle sandwichescharcuterie, small plates and a full bar specializing in housemade sodas and various microbrews.  This looks like it could be a great new spot for lunch, dinner, watching a game, or having a beer in the greater Mid City area. Do check back for more details in the coming days.
