Rejoice, boudin freaks. The mastermind behind the almighty boudinlink.com Robert Carriker has created a boudin king cake with Steen's maple syrup and cracklins, now available at Twins Burgers and Sweets (2801 Johnston St.) and at Earl's Cajun Market (510 Verot School Road) in Lafayette. The Boudin and Cracklin King Cake a la Boudinlink.com has actually gone viral with over 10k likes on Facebook, and Carriker already has hundreds of orders via email, so good luck getting your hands on one. It's worth a shot though, because they ARE shipping these beauties too. Per The Daily Advertiser:
The king cakes will cost $27.99 for a small, which feeds 8 to 10 people, and $46.96 for a large, which feeds 18 to 25 people. The king cakes are available beginning Tuesday at Twins and beginning Friday at Earl's.
Shipping prices, however, depend upon location and require frozen overnight shipping cost (ie. $$$). Put it on the king cake bucket list.
