Chef Tom Wolfe is now IN as executive chef at fifty-year-old prime rib classic Rib Room. Wolfe takes over after former chef Michael Gottlieb departed to open his own bakery in Savannah. Wolfe has spent the past few years in Mississippi and Alabama, most recently at Louisiana Pantry in Orange Beach (it's now closed). Before that, you may recall, he operated Wolfe's in the West End and in the former Peristyle (now Marti's) space.
As for the menu at Rib Room, Wolfe states: "We want to bring back a few classics done well... And I always want to put my creativity into it. It's going to be good, classic French preparations as a backbone and American fare out front."
