Exciting news for Marigny brunch-seekers, as Ian McNulty reports that gastropub stunner The Franklin (2600 Dauphine St.) will roll out brunch starting next Sunday, January 25, with a menu "inspired by the cuisine of Mexico City and prepared by guest chef Baruch Rabasa,"  of Atchafalaya and Meson 923 fame.  The Sunday brunch is set to function as a sort of pop-up run "on an ongoing basis" from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Also coming up:  Bywater street food fave Booty's is adding a new pop up to their roster called Walkabout Presents, an afterhours event featuring guest chefs. Miles Prescott of Tacos & Tequila kicks things off January 19 with a five-course menu of Asian-inspired "spicy heat." Also, Three Muses chef Dan Esses and Beth Ribblett of Swirl will be popping up at the first-ever Taste+Pair event at Old Metairie's Longue Vue House & Gardens with "Italian Carnival themed dishes" and Italian wines, on January 22.
