Scales & Ales On Friday; Sazerac Stormin' Ahead

QUARTER— Scales & Ales brings Abita tastings and 35 local restaurants to the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas this Friday, September 12, from 8 to 11 p.m. to benefit the Aquarium's education programs and conservation initiatives. $45/ticket, or $100/patron ticket (with entry at 7 p.m.) All food and drinks are included in the ticket price. QUARTER— Attention, booze feminists: The annual Stormin' of the Sazerac returns to The Roosevelt (321 Baronne) on September 26. Events start at 1 p.m. including a $49 three-course lunch, live entertainment, and a fashion show. At 2 p.m. The Fountain Lounge will have $6.50 Sazerac cocktails in honor of the 65th anniversary of the original Stormin' and at 4 p.m. ladies will storm the Sazerac Bar, as they did in 1949 insisting on equal access to the good stuff.
