Allison Vines-Rushing has left MiLa, Todd Price reports, the restaurant she helped opened with her husband Slade Rushing seven years ago in the Renaissance Pere Marquette. Slade Rushing recently departed to takeover as executive chef at the upcoming reincarnation of Brennan's. No word just yet on Vines-Rushing's plans.re
Update 2:45 p.m: Todd Price reports that Vines-Rushing has no immediate plans, other than spending time with family and potentially taking some private chef jobs.
Todd Price also reports that Max Messier is OUT at Root Squared, the upstairs craft cocktail lounge he helped open with Phillip Lopez and Max Ortiz at the Lower Garden District tasting-menu restaurant Square Root. No word on a replacement yet.
