Dis & Dat, a new burger and hot dog joint from Dat Dog cofounder Skip Murray, is opening at 2540 Banks Street this week, reports Greater Mid City whisperer Della Hasselle. Actually the soft opening of Dis & Dat will be Thursday, and the restaurant is already licensed to serve booze. Well, that was fast.
As for the menu: expect burgers, dogs of various meaty and vegetarian nature, and a chicken sandwich, plus some of the usual Dat Dog toppings will be on hand, including Andouille sauce and crawfish étouffée. Hours will be Tuesday-Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Also, there is a bartender "who goes by the name Kiss," which is ultimately the most important takeaway here.
