EVERYWHERE — It's International Talk Like a Pirate Day and Curbed NOLA is hitting Jean Lafitte, LA to celebrate. Peep some special events for the day and go pirate or go home.

UPPER 9TH WARD — It was apparently bizarro listings week for New Orleans real estate. One Upper 9th Ward fixer upper listed itself for $2.2M only to drop its price by 91.3 percent, which is entirely reasonable.

ST ROCH — NOLA Building Corps, the city council group that oversees the building, development, and leasing of New Orleans-owned buildings gave approval of St. Roch Market's lease to Bayou Secret, LLC. The very next day, the City Council tabled the issue until their next meeting. Until then, we'll be here, waiting impatiently for something to be done to that space.

CBD —AC Hotels by Marriott has decided to open its first stateside hotel at the old New Orleans Cotton Exchange in the CBD. AC Hotels caters to millenials and is seriously concerned with design, making for an interesting match in the Crescent City.

LGD AND FQ — In honor of New Orleans — nay, Louisiana — being single as all get out, we present two condos who need love in their own special ways. One had a bit of botched work done and the other is definitely packing some baggage.

NO EAST — If you're big on boating or simply want a quiet, lovely waterfront home, there's a rare property for sale directly overlooking Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans East. Right on Chef Menteur Hwy, the house offers boater amenities galore and even its own private pier.
