EVERYWHERE— Food & Wine has launched its inaugural People's Best New Bars, which means you too can vote for your favorite bar by region. NOLA falls into the Southeast category with Cane & Table, Tiki Tolteca, Oxalis, and SoBou all up in the competition. [F&W]

MID CITY— The 4th annual Cirque D'So-Lame circus themed fundraiser for Mystic Krewe of Inane (of Krewe du Vieux fame) is going down this Saturday September 20 from 1 to 7 p.m. at St. Patrick's Park (across from Mid City Yacht Club). $10 gets you beer, and chance to partake in the festivities including a Sizzurp Race and the return of Fortune Telling Jesus.
