Mid City, land of dreamy chicken wing and brunch offerings, will soon be home to Side Bar, a new whiskey bar from Atchafalaya employee/Texas transplant Keith Magruder. According to Robert Morris, Magruder "began renting the property this month and plans to open the bar in the new year, pending approval by the city." The bar will be located in the former Night Court Lounge at 611 S. White Street, with hopes of drawing in those most desperate for whiskey back: people coming from the nearby criminal district courthouse.
