Dis & Dat Takes Cash, Maya's Renovations, & More

Maya's is now open in the Lower Garden District after some serious renovations. And more.

MID CITY— Newly opened burger and wienery Dis & Dat (2540 Banks) from Dat Dog's Skip Murray is CASH ONLY right now. They are apparently waiting on their credit card machine. [NOLA.com]

LGD— Sarah Baird reports that Latin fusion hub Maya's has just reopened after being closed for renovations since June. Exterior has a sleek new paint job and the dining space now has more seating and an expanded bar, along with a "sultry red" paint job and decor. Also, they're offering half-off wine bottles tonight. IRISH CHANNEL— Salu's annual Oktoberfest returns September 20-October 31 with German-inspired fare and beer pairings from chef Dustin Brien. Expect beer and potato soup, knackwurst and more dishes available a la carte or as a 4-course pre-fixe for $40 (pairings extra). [EaterWire]
