Arnaud's Beard Dinner, Broussard's Killer Happy Hour

NYC/QUARTER— Arnaud's heads to New York for their first ever James Beard Foundation Dinner at The Beard House on Saturday, September 20. Chef Tommy DiGiovanni will roll out five-courses of Arnaud's classics. NORTHSHORE— Olde Towne Slidell restaurant Sunrise on Second Street suffered major damages via an electrical fire yesterday. Owner/chef Rob Howell plans to reopen but will serve his breakfast/lunch menus at Bear's Grill, which he also owns, in the meantime. [NOLA.com]

QUARTER— Dirty Linen Night is fast approaching, and this year's event—which spans Royal Street from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, August 9— features bars, food trucks, galleries galore, and an after party at LaTrobe's (407 Royal) at 9 p.m. with cocktails, live entertainment, and more. [Gambit]

UPTOWN— Salu (3226 Mag) is hosting its first ever Mussel Fest all August long with a special menu featuring everything from mussel and pesto flatbread to a cioppino (fish stew) with mussels, shrimp, scallops and local catch. [Eaterwire]
