New Orleans' month long COOLinary dining promotion is now underway for the entire duration of August, which means some of our city's top restaurants are offering affordable prix fixe menus in hopes of perking up summer snoozeville. It's a good way to experience fine dining without the steep price tag, with over 50 restaurants offering lunch menus for $20 or less and dinner dinners for $35 or less, along with a handful of specials like happy hours, Wine Wednesdays, and even a lobster night. While most of these restaurants run their specials on different days of the week, calling ahead/making reservations is encouraged. Here now is a look at the best COOLinary menus of the bunch.

· Charlie's Steakhouse: For a great steak experience for only $35, this Uptown Steakhouse's three-course menu includes their signature thin onion rings, a classic wedge salad, and a 10 oz filet/14 oz strip steak with your choice of side (hello, potatoes au gratin). Available Tuesday-Friday.
·Dominique's on Magazine: Chef Dominique Macquet rolls out a $35 dinner menu including basil wraps filled with prawn remoulade, lamb or fresh fish preparation, and a blackberry panacotta. Add in the courtyard and you've got yourself a great date night. Also doing a $30 early bird special from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Available Mon-Sat.
·Fulton Alley: Perk up your weekend at this CBD bowling alley, offering a special $15 lunch including chef Mike Nirenberg's barbecue combo plate and a 'second course' of free bowling for one hour. Available Fri-Sun, before 6 p.m.
·Galatoire's 33 Bar & Steak: With dinner at just $35, this is a great way to experience Galatoire's gorgeous steakhouse with choices including fried oysters, filet, and a summer cobbler for dessert. Available Sun-Thurs.
·GW Fins: Guaranteed to be one of the best seafood experiences you'll have at just $35. The menu changes daily because chef Tenney Flynn only serves the freshest catch.
·Irish House: Chef Matt Murphy's $32 dinner menu includes a Caipirinha because booze makes everything better. Available daily.
·Marti's: The Rampart gem is doing a $35 dinner menu. Tues-Sat.
·Martin Wine Cellar: This Metairie staple offers by far the most options of the bunch with their $35 dinner including a glass of wine, 2 apps from cheese plates to sweetbreads and an entree. Available Mon-Fri.
·R'evolution: A two-course $20.00 lunch menu available at this ultimate special-occasions beauty is quite the catch, with turtle soup and the Gulf fish highly encouraged. Available Wed-Fri.
·Rue 127: This Mid City favorite has plenty of options for the $35 three-course dinner including a salad plucked from their own garden, paneed pork, and a housemade sorbet.
·Tableau: Go classic Creole at Dickie Brennan's French Quarter stunner, with a $30 three-course dinner featuring shrimp remoulade, chicken Tableau, and praline monkey-bread pudding. Available Mon-Fri.
