Three Muses' Dan Esses and Sophie Lee are expanding with a 70s inspired Korean snack shack Seoul Shack, which will be located in the Dragon's Den come October, according to scoop jockey DJ Todd Price Nice . Expect traditional recipes that Esses has learned from Lee (her mama, Miss Moon is Korean, y'all).

Esses tells Eater that folks can expect lots of classic Korean dishes ncluding bibimbaps with tofu, pork and beef, japchae, Miss Moon's signature egg roll variations, plus more creative dishes like Korean tacos and Korean fried chicken, all in a budget friendly ($5-$10) price range.

In the past, the downstairs kitchen area at Dragon's Den has been inhabited by a couple vegetarian operations, Cafe Bamboo and TSAI, and a long running thai restaurant, but Esses and the Dragons Den team (the Hi Ho Lounge/Maison owners Brian Greiner and Jeff Bromberger acquired the space earlier this year) are upgrading all the equipment, music line ups, and the downstairs even has an entirely new bar. Seoul Shack will be very casual: order at counter, eat wherever, including the back patio, with service going late but not too the wee hours.

Until opening day, folks can get a taste of Esses' kimchi skills on Tuesdays at Three Muses during a Seoul Shack pop up from 5 to 10 p.m., happening September 2, 16, 23 and 30. At the pop up and at the permanent spot, WWOZ fave DJ Brice Nice (no relation to scoop jockey DJ Todd Price Nice) will spin vintage soul tunes.
