After sampling more than 60 burgers since May, local gout candidate Brett Anderson names his top ten burgers in New Orleans this week, and taking the lead as the overall best is Company Burger, no surprises here: "Three years ago, owner Adam Biderman unveiled his vision of a true American hamburger restaurant affordable, approachable, built for take-out or dining in informed by the sensibility of a chef steeped in the lessons of traditional western European kitchens." Translation: Company Burger rules and "has no exact peer."
As for the rest of the top ten, there are some major surprises McClure's Barbecue, Sammy's and Mint Modern are IN, while Cowbell and Truburger don't make the cut. Here are Brett Anderson's top ten burgers in alphabetical order (alas, he doesn't rank them).
